Harcor has joined giants such as Wal-Mart, IBM and Procter & Gamble by switching over to Radio Frequency Identification (RFID), a major technology enabler for inventory control by identifying and tracking goods and assets around the world.
RFID is set to be the “Magic Wand” for inventory control, it will allow for faster identification, receipt and despatch of goods, it will further reduce current handling issues. RFID also helps hospitals locate expensive equipment more quickly, pharmaceutical companies to reduce counterfeiting, and logistics providers to improve the management of moveable assets. It helps libraries and companies to locate books and documents. It also promises to enable new efficiencies in the supply chain by tracking goods from the point of manufacture through to the retail point of sale, and any place in-between. RFID is also the trigger for most Auto-Id processes that are being implemented into today’s Supply Chain adding a further cost reduction to the Value Proposition for implementing RFID. Asset Tagging
Harcor can also help you tag your assets to enable quick location. Hospitals are tagging medical machines to save time searching for vital equipment. They can also be notified if a machine leaves their department and if the machine needs servicing. This all adds up to improved patient care. Security
Did you know that your high security bolt seal can be RFID? This enables electronic tamper identification which means the person checking your load doesn’t need line of sight to ensure the seal is in place and secure. With the correct system, the same tag can also be used to track your load through checkpoints and provide electronic documentation on despatch, customs clearance and receipt.
